CallLane
Your music shouldn't go quiet when you join a call.

CallLane is a menu bar app for macOS that stops your music and videos from going quiet when you join a call. Normally, the moment a FaceTime, WhatsApp, Zoom or other call starts, macOS lowers every other sound by about 20 dB and there is no setting to turn it off. CallLane gives your call app its own audio device, so the ducking only applies to the call while Spotify, YouTube, games and everything else keep playing at full volume. It also fixes the other big call-audio problem: instead of letting your Mac switch to your AirPods' microphone and drop them to low-quality headset mode, it pins the input to your Mac's built-in or USB mic, so your headphones keep streaming at full 48 kHz quality. It works automatically with FaceTime, WhatsApp, Zoom, Meet, Slack, Teams and Discord, with no account and no kernel extension.
Key Features:
- Stops Call Ducking: music, videos and games stay at full volume during calls
- Full-Quality AirPods: keeps Bluetooth headphones in high-quality mode by using your Mac's mic
- Separate Call Audio: gives call apps their own audio device and volume
- Automatic: works with FaceTime, WhatsApp, Zoom, Meet, Slack, Teams and Discord
- Lightweight and Safe: menu bar app with no account and no kernel extension
CallLane fixes macOS call audio ducking and keeps your AirPods sounding great during calls, for a one-time $9 launch price (then $15).
