Notchi

Notchi is a personal AI that was born in your Mac's notch and now goes beyond it. Type into the notch to ask a question with web search when needed, capture a note, set a reminder or run a coding agent on a project with your chosen folder and model. Everything happens in one continuous conversation with memory and history, and Notchi can run system commands to complete tasks and return rich answers including charts. Background tasks are tracked in the collapsed notch, long-press shortcuts and prompts work on selected text, and you get emoji reactions and suggested next questions. You bring your own model provider key, chats and memory are stored locally, and an Audit section in Settings lists every request sent, with no account, email or password required. Key Features: - Ask, Capture and Remind: AI answers, notes and reminders from the notch - Code Mode: run a coding agent on any project - Memory and History: one continuous conversation - Background Tasks: tracked right in the collapsed notch - Bring Your Own Key: local storage and a full request audit Notchi puts a private, capable AI assistant in your Mac's notch, free and open source with your own model key.
