Orbit
Your own cloud. Minus the drama.

Orbit from Cortex Labs is a friendly console that turns the servers you already pay for into your own little cloud. Install it with one command on a fresh Ubuntu or Debian server, then pick a Git repository or container image, choose a server and get a healthy HTTPS address, with conventional builds needing no YAML or Dockerfile. Orbit runs your databases, keeps backups you can actually restore and shows an overview of your projects, connected servers, application health and databases in a clean mission-control dashboard. It's self-hosted and free, managed from a modern browser, with updates delivered right from its settings.
Key Features:
- Git to HTTPS: deploy repos or container images without YAML or Dockerfiles
- Databases Built In: run and manage databases on your own servers
- Restorable Backups: keep backups you can actually restore
- Mission Control: overview of projects, servers, health and databases
- Self-Hosted and Free: one command to install on Ubuntu or Debian
Orbit gives indie developers a Heroku-style experience on their own servers, completely free.
