LocalEditor
A local workspace for notes, sketches and code.

LocalEditor is a Mac workspace for reviewing and refining your AI agents' work in the folders already on your Mac. It opens existing folders or single files without importing or moving them, and offers Markdown editing with slash commands, wikilinks and nested subpages, a sandboxed live HTML preview and editable views for YAML, JSON, .env and .gitignore files. Images, video, PDFs and CSVs preview inline and code gets syntax highlighting. A canvas lets you draw shapes, connected arrows and freehand sketches and export to PNG, JPEG, SVG or PDF, and Command-1 and Command-2 open a quick note or blank canvas. Command-K searches across folders, files autosave and refresh live when they change on disk, and an MCP connection gives agents like Claude Code, Codex and Cursor scoped access with secret files blocked.
Key Features:
- Open Local Folders: no import, files stay where they are
- Markdown Editor: slash commands, wikilinks and subpages
- Live Previews: HTML, images, video, PDFs and CSVs
- Sketch Canvas: shapes, arrows and freehand drawing
- Agent Friendly: MCP access and conflict review
LocalEditor is a calm local home for notes, sketches and agent output, with a 14-day free trial and a one-time $20 purchase.
