Current

A MacUpdater alternative built for safer updates.

Current screenshot
Current checks your Mac apps and command-line tools, verifies each update and installs it in one click. It lists Mac apps alongside Homebrew and npm global tools, and gets updates from each app's own source, whether Homebrew, Sparkle, Electron feeds or the App Store, so there's no database to go stale. Every update passes four checks before installing: the same developer as your current version, Apple notarization with checksum or signature matching, compatibility with your macOS version and chip, and a newer version number. The old version is kept until the new one passes its final check and restored if the install fails. Daily checks send notifications with an Update All button, open apps are quit normally so you can save and then reopened, and a current command-line tool and five colour themes are included. Key Features: - Apps and CLI Tools: Mac apps, Homebrew and npm in one list - Four Safety Checks: developer, notarization, compatibility and version - Automatic Rollback: restores the old version if an install fails - Native Update Sources: Homebrew, Sparkle, Electron and App Store - Daily Checks: notifications and one-click Update All Current makes updating your Mac safe and effortless, priced at $3 one-time for the first 100 licenses and then $7.99.
