It hides quietly in the menu bar, reacts to USB plug-ins with USB Moaner mode, creaks when you open or close the lid, and even tracks your lifetime slap count.

SlapMac FAQ
Wait, SlapMac is now a security app?+
Version 1.4 added an Anti-Theft mode — a motion-triggered alarm, "Selfie of Shame," auto-arm on screen lock, and Touch ID to disarm — alongside the original slap feature.
Does it work on Intel Macs?+
No. SlapMac needs an M1 Pro or newer Apple Silicon MacBook, and some features like Lid Creak require M2 Pro or newer.
Will it trigger during normal typing?+
Sensitivity is adjustable — anywhere from "earthquake detector" to "needs a running start" — and a cooldown timer prevents unwanted triggers.
Can I add my own sounds?+
Not yet. Custom sound packs are on the roadmap for v1.5.
It's too expensive. Can I get a discount?+
SlapMac is $9.99, and you can get it free by making a reel — see the Discount page for the creator discount.
