Rambla
Your windows, in a row.

Rambla is a scrolling window manager for macOS that places every window as a column on one horizontal strip that keeps going past the edges of the screen. Instead of cutting your screen into smaller pieces, new windows appear right next to the one you're using at their own size, and the strip slides to whatever you focus with a shortcut, a click, Command-Tab or the Dock. Windows outside the screen peek in from the edge so they're always one click away. You can stack windows in one column or as tabs, pin columns like chat or music to an edge, swipe with three or four fingers to move along the strip, and use an overview to see every window at once. Rambla remembers columns, widths and stacks after restarts, gives every display and desktop its own strip, and is scriptable with rambla:// links, a command-line tool and Raycast scripts. It's native Swift with zero idle CPU and works alongside Rectangle.
Key Features:
- Horizontal Window Strip: every window becomes a column that slides into view
- Stacks and Tabs: group windows in one column or as tabs
- Pinned Columns: keep chat or music visible at the edge
- Trackpad and Mouse Navigation: swipe or scroll from column to column
- Overview and Memory: see all windows at once and restore layouts after restarts
Rambla brings a fresh, scrolling approach to window management on the Mac, completely free and open source.
