Best Alternatives for 1Password SSH Agent
1Password's SSH agent stores your SSH keys in your vault, unlocks them with Touch ID and lets ssh and git use them without key files lying around in ~/.ssh. It's a great setup if you already pay for 1Password, but the keys still live in a vault that can be exported and synced.
If you want keys that can't leave your Mac at all, or you'd rather not need a password manager subscription to sign a git commit, these are the best alternatives. NullKey and Secretive keep keys inside the Secure Enclave, while Bitwarden, KeePassXC and a hardware key cover other trade-offs.
